URAIA WETU Southern Highland Zone Project

The URAIA WETU Project seeks to strengthen collaboration between civil society organizations (CSOs) and the Tanzanian government. Implemented across seven regions Mtwara, Ruvuma, Njombe, Iringa, Mbeya, Songwe, and Rukwa from 2023 to 2025, the project is supported by the Foundation for Civil Society (FCS). The initiative focuses on creating an enabling environment that fosters effective CSO engagement. Its goal is to empower CSOs and enhance their advocacy capacity.

SAUTI ZETU PROJECT

The SAUTI ZETU project, supported by OXFAM Ibis, is being implemented in partnership with MTWANGONET and Hakielimu. It aims to promote transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery in inclusive education, focusing on the National Strategy on Inclusive Education (2021/2022 – 2025/2026). MTWANGONET is currently monitoring the strategy’s implementation, advocating for inclusive education, and collaborating with the government on data generation. The project is being executed in Mtwara District, covering five schools from 2024 to 2026.

MAENDELEO YETU PROJECT

The Maendeleo Yetu project, implemented by MTWANGONET in collaboration with the Wajibu Institute, is running from September 2024 to August 2025 in Mtwara District. The project aims to address the barriers to political participation and representation faced by women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Its objectives include empowering these groups to actively engage in demanding accountability, while improving transparency, accountability, and the fight against corruption during elections to enhance service delivery.
